Financial Freedom Campaign

The NAACP believes that as the nation struggles to move beyond the “Great Recession”, organizing and activism are required to move towards more equal economic opportunity. In an effort to address this challenge, the NAACP Economic Programs Department implements the national Financial Freedom Campaign (FCC) to serve as a leading advocate for advancing fair mortgage lending and greater financial security.

The NAACP Financial Freedom Campaign is based on the theory that organizing and community mobilization, improved access to quality products and services, and monitoring to ensure the absence of discrimination, result in improved financial security and economic solvency. The Financial Freedom Campaign will work with partners to provide workshops and seminars focused on economic education and advocacy to our NAACP unit members and the greater community.
